SAL continues to actively lobby the government in relation to substantial legal aid reforms which we believe have a disproportionate negative effect upon Asian background lawyers and in some cases threaten their very existence. In conjunction with other interested groups SAL brought judicial review proceedings which forced the government to review its practice and proposals.
