Sundeep Bhatia was elected Chair of the Society of Asian Lawyers at the organisation’s AGM in July 2008. Sundeep is the proprietor of Beaumonde Law Practice in Middlesex and specialises in employment law. He is also an accredited mediator trained by the Centre of Effective Dispute Resolution. and is currently registered with Specialist Mediators. Sundeep is also a Higher Criminal courts Advocate who has conducted trials involving serious Assault,serious sexual offences andmurder.He also has previous experience of running a successful criminal law firm which handled complex high value fraud cases. Over the last three years he has campaigned hard against Legal Aid cuts.This included speaking at the request of the Law Society and making written representations to The Parliamentary select committee which were subsequently published as Evidence. He was part of SALs team opposing the legality of the reforms in the High Court. Sundeep aims, as Chair of SAL, to fight injustice,promote equality and diversity,to aid and assist members in their careers and to ensure SAL continues to make substantial charitable donations to worthy causes."The law has been good to me and now its my opportunity to give something back to the profession I love"
